The Mint Julep is a classic cocktail that finds its geographical origin in the south of the United-States, and its inspiration in Persia, Arabia and the Mediterranean sea.
First of all, there’s Mint, the fresh vegetal side of this cocktail served On The Rocks. It inspired us the colours, menthol green, blue green, and our chimney. An hommage to the Mediterranean sea and its seaside vegetation.
Then we have the Julep, derived from the Arabic Julâp. Supposed to mean “sweet drink tasting of roses”, it was known for its therapeutic and aphrodisiac vertus. The Julep reminds us that the history of cocktails is often related to travels, spices and herbs found abroad. The Mint Julep cocktail gave us the Mojito, now savoured all around the world.
